Where to stay

Ojo Caliente offers a variety of stays to accommodate you. From the historic hotel located right next to the restaurant and bar, charming adobe cottages, glamping in airstreams, to renting a house for a full family or friend gathering, there are endless options.

Things to do

We recommend getting there early so you have all day to take advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds Ojo Caliente. Start your experience by spending the day soaking in the mineral springs. Ojo Caliente is quite different then any other springs I have visited. Each pool is a specific mineral that has different healing options. I recommend enjoying the variety of pools and I guarantee you will find your favorite. Soak up the sun, detox in the amazing eucalyptus steam shower, or mud bath, book a spa treatment, or simply hang out in a hammock and read a book.

Food Options

We highly recommend eating at the Ojo Farm Artesian Restaurant. Their menu has an amazing southwest flare with rich locally sourced ingredients and New Mexico flavors. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but dinner is my favorite time to eat there. They have a lovely wine selection and fantastic deserts. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you book a reservation if traveling there on the weekend as they can tend to get very busy. For breakfast and lunch, bring snacks and you will have a mini-fridge depending on where you stay.

Get Outdoors

Take a sunrise morning hike up their trail and enjoy a morning coffee. From there, repeat day one to really soak in the time to unwind and decompress. Once happy hour comes around, definitely hit their little bar and have a cocktail, get ready for dinner and soak the night away.

Shopping

It is always hard to leave this magical destination. The last day, we typically wake up and enjoy coffee and the views, wander into their amazing shop where we purchase their skincare products, jewelry, and snacks for the road.

Other Areas To Explore

If you have an additional day or two, Santa Fe is an hour away which has their sister location. There are lots of art galleries, great food, and shopping as you head back to the Albuquerque airport. Or you can head in the opposite direction and visit Georgia’s Okeefe Ghost Ranch.
